Trevor Salloum is a percussionist, author and teacher who has conducted workshops and performed internationally for over 25 years. Salloum studied music at York University (Toronto) and Escuela Nacional de Arte (Cuba). He has studied with some of the great Cuban masters including Changuito, Enrique Pla, Roberto Vizcaino, Cutumba and Los Munequitos de Matanzas. His studies of percussion have taken him to Brazil, Cuba and the Middle East.
Trevor resides in Kelowna, BC, Canada and leads two Okanagan Valley bands- Major Mambo and The Trevor Salloum Group. He has performed with Pat Labarbera, Armando Peraza, Alex Acuña, Jane Bunnett, Campbell Ryga, Ross Taggart, Brad Turner, Dee Daniels, Tommy Banks and Ian McDougall.
